Welcome to our new vacation apartments Rosl and Kaj, named after my grandparents. They offer a bright and spacious environment. This elegant accommodation combines modern comfort with charming historical beds from the ancient house, passed down from my ancestors, which will allow you to sleep wonderfully. The large windows let in plenty of daylight and provide a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Enjoy relaxing moments on the lovely terrace, perfect for outdoor breakfasts or intimate evenings.

The Martello Valley is presented in summer as a place rich in varied and exciting recreational opportunities. Whether you’re interested in peaceful hikes, climbing majestic mountain peaks, exploring the surroundings by bike, or trying your hand at climbing – there is something for everyone here.
Sports and Recreation Facility Trattla
The sports and recreational facility in Trattla is located just 100 meters downhill and offers a spacious area with a children’s playground, mini golf, a natural bowling alley, a bocce court, a ground chess field, ping pong, table football, tennis courts, a fishing pond, and a fitness trail. There are numerous seating areas for picnics and relaxation. The facility also includes a modern climbing hall, a bowling alley, a gym, and a café/restaurant with a sun terrace. Additionally, it hosts the house of the cultural Martell National Park, which showcases the history of mountain farmers in the national park, as well as an information office and the strawberrie world of Martell.
Hiking
The Martell Valley is a true paradise for lovers of hiking and mountains. Here, a wide range of opportunities opens up to discover the stunning mountainous landscape of the Stelvio National Park. Whether it’s majestic peaks, enchanting lakes, imposing glaciers, themed trails, or relaxing walks – there’s something for every taste. Numerous huts and alpine pastures invite you to take a well-deserved break.
Bicycle
The vacation area of Latsch-Martelltal is known for its various well-marked mountain bike trails. Especially in the Martelltal, you can find some of the most beautiful and at the same time challenging MTB excursions, offering impressive views.
A truly special experience is exploring the Stelvio National Park in the Martell Valley on an e-bike. At the cultural visitor center in Trattla, it is possible to rent e-bikes from early June to the end of September.
Climbing
Climbers can expect a myriad of routes and crags in Laces and the high Martell Valley, which is located at the entrance of the Stelvio National Park, inviting them to unforgettable vertical adventures. In the picturesque Ortles area, at the foot of the highest peaks of South Tyrol, exciting via ferratas are ready to thrill both mountaineers and climbing enthusiasts.
Biathlon and Cross-Country Skiing
The Grogg biathlon center in Val Martello uniquely combines ideal conditions for cross-country skiers and biathletes: in winter, well-prepared and safe tracks with snow, and in summer, a modern skating track. Founded in 1992, the facility has developed over the years into a renowned training and competition venue that excites both professional athletes and amateur sports enthusiasts. Throughout the year, the center offers numerous opportunities:
In winter, national and international biathlon competitions take place, including the IBU Cup and the Biathlon European Championships in 2025.
In the estate, athletes can train on the skating rink and at the shooting range.
The idyllic location in the heart of the Stelvio National Park makes the resort in the area an unforgettable experience. For families, the winter landscape nearby with the Magic Carpet is a special attraction for the little ones.
Snowshoeing and Winter Hiking
The Martello Valley, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, is a true paradise for snowshoeing enthusiasts. The unspoiled mountainous landscape, rich in snow, offers numerous itineraries – from easy leisure hikes to more challenging peaks. Particularly popular are the walks on the home mountain or on the Nörderberg, as well as the alpine routes along the main ridge of Martello. For a truly special experience, the Martello cross-country skiing and biathlon school offers guided snowshoe hikes. There is an itinerary suitable for everyone to fully enjoy the winter landscape.
Ski Mountaineering
The Martello Valley in the background, with its snow-covered landscape and imposing three-thousanders, is considered one of the most beautiful areas for freeriding in the Alps. The best conditions for spring and deep snow ensure ideal conditions until spring. There are numerous excursions, ranging from easy to challenging.
Sledding
The natural toboggan run Hölderle, approximately 2 km long, winds along the Plimabach and offers fun for the whole family on a technically simple track. The picturesque run is perfect for carefree descents amidst nature. At the starting and finishing points, visitors can comfortably end the day with a warm drink and relive the experiences.
A forest trail 6 km long leads into the valley (also accessible by bus) to Lyfi-Alm, near the Alpengasthaus Enzian. This path is particularly suitable for winter hikes. The return can be made, aside from some short stretches, on the sledding track – an unforgettable experience.
